First and foremost, Anna is a proud mom to two young children and believes deeply in the importance of community and supporting families through life’s challenges. Originally from Florida, Anna met her husband when he came to the U.S. from Germany as an exchange student at her high school. Their relationship eventually led Anna to spend seven years living in Germany, where she earned both her master’s degree and PhD.
After returning to the U.S., Anna spent six years as a professor at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater before joining Boise State University in 2022. She is passionate about teaching supply chain management and loves helping students connect classroom learning to meaningful, real-world impact through service-learning projects in the community. One of her favorite projects has involved working with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, where students have partnered with the organization to support families navigating difficult medical journeys.
As someone whose family lives far away, building strong community connections in Idaho has become especially meaningful to Anna. After learning about Clemy’s Crew and witnessing the challenges many families face while caring for children with medical conditions, she immediately felt called to get involved. She is honored to support Clemy’s Crew’s mission of helping families feel supported, cared for, and never alone during difficult times.
